Making a Donation

Staff provide a wide variety of workshops on women and addictions. Training includes an understanding of women specific issues on drug addiction as well as making a link between addiction and violence. Workshops are tailor-made to suit the needs of the agency or department staff. A cost-recovery fee will be charged.

There are an estimated 20,200 women in the Ottawa region coping with a serious alcohol abuse problem and this figure does not include addictions to other drugs. We know the number is significantly higher, and the need for our services is essential.

As a non-profit organization, we need your donation. If you would like to make a donation, please make your cheque payable to Friends of Amethyst and mail it to us at:

Membership

You can become a member. Membership has its privileges! Becoming a member of Amethyst allows you to vote at our Annual General Meeting held every year in June. You also receive our bi-annual Newsletter, "Amethyst Matters" and our Annual Report titled "Report to the Community".

The dollars raised by membership cover the costs of producing and mailing our three publications. The cost of membership for an individual is $15 per year and $40 per year for an organization.
