Day Treatment Program
Amethyst offers a confidential and free day treatment program to women residing in the Ottawa Region who are dependent on alcohol and/or drugs. The treatment program offered is a two-year outpatient program, allowing women to live at home.
Our treatment approach is holistic and group focused. We assist individual women to take control of their lives as they stop using substances.
Our two-year program consists of the following phases:
- Assessment... counsellors work with women to develop individualized treatment plans..
- Pre-Treatment... once you and your counsellor determine you are ready, you may start participating in support groups, which meet weekly.
- Ten-day Treatment... an intensive day program which includes group therapy and psycho-educational sessions, held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A maximum of 10 women meet with qualified counsellors.
- Follow-up... women are encouraged to participate in follow-up groups for up to two years following treatment.
