The 30th Anniversary event was a SENSATION !

February 1, 2009 at the Lord Elgin

With 150 guests in attendance, excellent food, beautiful music by Gracie Cornerstone, and an insightful presentation by keynote speaker Gabor Maté, the Amethyst 30th Anniversary event was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all.

Thank you to Dr. Gabor Maté, keynote speaker for the evening. Widely recognized for his unique perspective on Attention Deficit Disorder, and his firmly held belief in the connection between mind and body health, Dr. Maté shared his experiences working with addiction in Vancouver and took questions from the group.  A very popular and exciting book signing took place following his speech, and we are thrilled to report that Dr. Maté generously dontated 100% of his book sales to Amethyst.
